Getting started

Looking for shipping information or pictures of ships, particularly from the 19th century? Do you want to know about arrivals to and departures from New South Wales?

This guide will take you to the key resources. We also tell you how to use some of the more complex ones. Use the tabs above to find resources for ships logs and diaries, shipping movements and ships pictures.

You will need to sign up for a Library card to use many of the resources.

We've added icons next to each resource so you know where you can use them.
