R v Rivkin

Rene Rivkin - R v Rivkin - White collar crime

There are two decisions that can be discussed. The first is the sentencing decision in which Rivkin is sentenced to 9 months imprisonment to be served by way of periodic detention and imposing a fine of $30,000. The second R v Rivkin was an appeal against the conviction and sentence on charges of insider trading contrary to the provisions of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), section 1002G(2).
