Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) 1880–1980 [catalogue record | microfiche]
You can find ASX listed company announcements, prospectus, annual reports and other public documents on microfiche covering the periods from 1880 to 1980 and 1989 to September 1996 (approximate only).
Not all companies provided ASX with the same type of information. The period before the late 1940s includes some imperfect holdings of public company reports.
Ask the staff in the Governor Marie Bashir Reading Room for the Index (in Excel spreadsheet) to obtain the alpha-numeric code to request the required microfiche.
Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) 1886–1996 (majority from 1980s onwards) [catalogue record | CD–ROM]
This resource contains ASX listed company announcements, prospectus, annual reports and other public documents on CD-ROM. The majority of the documents are those produced in the 1980s to mid-1990s, with some covering the period from 1886 to 1996 (approximate only). Use this collection in conjunction with the ASX microfiche collection for pre-1980s documents.
Not all companies provide ASX the same type of information.

You can find ASX-listed company announcements, prospectus, annual reports and other public documents on microfiche covering the periods from 1896 to 1979 and 1989 to September 1996 (approximate only). Not all companies provide ASX with the same type of information. The microfiche is arranged in alphabetical order by company names.

At the ASX's website you can get the latest share prices (approx 20 minute delay) as well as price history charts for the last 6 months. You can see if a company is listed on the ASX and also find their ASX code.
Morningstar DatAnalysis [eresource]
Find daily share prices for both listed and delisted companies on the ASX from 1 January 2000 and month end prices from January 1988 including opening, closing, high and low prices, market capitalisation and shares on issue. You can also find full-text company records, stock price, trading status (including substantial shareholders' trading history), key personnel as well as contact and website details.
