Souvenirs, Objects & Ephemera

Sporting souvenirs

The history of sport is a catalogue of moments and events that for any enthusiast can raise hairs at the mere mention. It is understandable, then, that few other pursuits lend themselves so readily to collecting. Sports memorabilia is a multi-billion dollar industry, and sports collecting is represented in the Library catalogue in books, journals, auction catalogues and more.

What is in our collection?

The State Library of NSW collection includes mementoes from a huge number of sports and in a wide range of formats. In this section we will explore the objects, souvenirs and ephemera that make up the collection, and how to access them.
